We are a VOLUNTEER founded organization dedicated to the continuing success of other volunteers and their families.

EDUCATION

2024-2025 Scholarship Application Information

Eligibility: Limited to current CFD Volunteers with a minimum of five years of service, their spouses and dependent children.

Completed online application:

Cover Letter - a PDF cover letter must be uploaded with the following information included:
1. Describe your involvement as a volunteer with CFD, provide dates dates and committees served (begin no earlier than age 10).
2. Describe your immediate family members' (include only parents, spouse and/or siblings) involvement as a volunteer with CFD, giving dates and committees served.
3. Discuss your educational and career goals.
4. Describe awards, honors, extracurricular activities and organizations in which you have participated and/or been been recognized.
Transcripts - PDF only
1. Official or unofficial transcripts must be uploaded.
2. Transcripts must indicate a CUMMULATIVE GPA or will not be considered.

Congratulations on your selection! We are excited to support you and your educational goals. Here are a few tips to assist with your scholarship funds:

The foundation will mail Fall scholarships in July and Spring scholarships in December.

Changes in educational institutions are allowable and are the sole responsibility of the recipient. Fall changes must be received by July 1 and Spring changes must be received by December 1. Contact Bill Benskin (bbenskin44@gmail.com) or Laura Jeffrey (buckinhorses@gmail.com) if you plan on changing schools in order to ensure the funds arrive at the proper location. If notifications are received after the deadline, funds will most likely be delayed.
